Vanessa obtained her Juris Doctor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016, and her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at the same university in 2017. Before commencing her legal studies, Vanessa had obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.
